EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS:
Kate Jones, a former probation officer turned organizational consultant, has a unique perspective on workplace culture. She's not your average corporate guru; her insights come from years of navigating the complexities of human behavior in some of the most challenging environments imaginable.
Kate’s journey from correctional facilities to boardrooms has equipped her with a deep understanding of human nature. She's learned firsthand how to build relationships, foster trust, and inspire change in even the most difficult circumstances. This experience has become the foundation of her consulting firm, Neon, which specializes in transforming company cultures.
At the heart of Jones's approach is her "Five C's of Deeply Human Leadership" framework, which include:
- Clarity of purpose
- Connection
- Consciousness
- Creativity
- Care
These five principles guide her work in helping organizations create more positive and productive work environments and she elaborates on each in this interview.
But Jones doesn't shy away from the harsh realities of corporate life. She's not afraid to call out toxic behaviors and advocate for radical change. In fact, she believes that sometimes, the most effective way to transform a culture is to remove those who are hindering its progress.
